Permanent Housing Committee
Housing options for everyone
The Permanent Housing Committee advises and makes recommendations to the Austin/Travis County Homelessness Response System Leadership Council. Meetings are open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend to share subject matter and/or lived expertise. The committee’s voting members include people with lived experience of homelessness, equity advocates, direct service provider staff, and other advocates working to end homelessness in our community.
This committee meets monthly on the fourth Monday.
Purpose & Responsibilities
-
Purpose
The Homelessness Response System (HRS) will ensure that permanent housing options are available to every person experiencing homelessness in the community. This committee will work to ensure that all permanent housing programs meet a minimum standard of service delivery. In the absence of enough resources to meet the need, the HRS will prioritize housing resources equitably.
Specific priorities are updated yearly in the Leadership Council Roadmap.
